We all think our kid is the cutest baby in the whole world and we want to share pictures and videos of them. But does everyone really want to see all those pictures and videos?
I would get so tired of seeing so many pictures of people's pregnancy bumps, and then picture upon picture of their baby. Every once in awhile was fine and people I was close friends with I liked seeing what their family was up to, but most of the people posting endless pictures, I honestly could care less about. So when I was pregnant I didn't share any belly pictures and I made the decision to post about my baby as little as possible to giver her some privacy (not having every move she made to be posted online) and also not to annoy everyone who really didn't care. Then Claire was born and yes she was/is the cutest baby ever! It was hard to not share a million pictures. Still, I stuck to my guns and kept the posting to a VERY LOW minimum. The problem with this decision is that my family members that don't get to see her every week don't get to see her grow up. Welcome Tinybeans.
Tinybeans is an app/site where I can post pictures and videos every day, as many times a day as my heart desires, of Claire, but I also get to control who sees them. After uploading photos and videos for the day, those who I’ve signed up automatically receive a daily email notification alerting them to new moments. It's a great way for people who liver further away to keep up with her and I don't have to bombard the Facebook or Instagram community. No social media has to be involved which is handy for untech-savvy friends and family.
I also love how it organizes the photos. Tinybeans is set up in a calendar format so I can post pictures on specific days and it helps me keep track of when she completed milestones: the first time she smiled, the first time she rolled over, our first family vacation, etc. It also has a skills checklist for different months, which gives me a good idea of typically when she'll be doing things and let me check off what she's already completed.
Another awesome feature - you can order customized bags, mugs, pillows, phone cases, or create photobooks. I haven't used these features yet, but when Claire turns a year old I'm going to order a book, so I'll write an update of how that turns out, but I imagine it will be great!
Tinybeans is a great way to keep all her moments in one place and be able to look back at memories.

UPDATE: We used tinybeans for the entire year. Those on our email list loved getting their tinybeans updates every day and seeing what Claire was up to. I was planning on getting a book of her first year made for her using tinybeans, however it was a lot more expensive than I thought and when I was looking at the preview of the book I wasn't that impressed. What it basically was was the calendar snap shot of what you see above for each month then they'd pick a few pictures to highlight and I couldn't figure out how to change the layout and what pictures were chosen. Then the pictures that were chosen were cropped down to a square, which doesn't look good and cuts out people and parts of the picture. Needless to say I was disappointed, but I still love the main features of tinybeans and will continue using it to keep family and friends updated and have special memories.
